Our past month in Pictures . . .

SOME NEW PHOTOS HAVE BEEN ADDED AS OF 10/09/12

We woke to this view from out our van window in Tintagel for 4 days.

One of the resting spots along the Tintagel Coastal Walk.

The Tintagel Coastline we walked along.
You can just make out our campsite in the distance.

The path we followed.

Looking down to King Arthurs Castle and Merlins Cave.

Merlins Cave.

Inside the ruins of King Arthurs Castle.

This tractor came out of nowhere and drove up the High Street of Tintagel.

Our furry little friend making himself comfy on our couch in Swifty.

Driving through the Dartford Tunnel, England.

Approaching the entrance to the Channel Tunnel.

Entering the Channel Tunnel Train Carriages.

It just kept going and going - we were in carriage number 7
but we had to drive through all the other carriages to get to it.

Our pitch in Guines, France (near Calais).

The French Countryside.

A Saturday's Sailing off Dunkerque Beach, France.

Looking back towards Dunkerque.  They have stairs built into
these walls that run the whole length of the beach so that
you can get down to the sea and sand.

Walking back towards Dunkerque Township.

Sunset over the North Sea at Dunkerque looking back towards England.

Some of the vapour trails we woke to in Dunkerque.

Oostende Beach on the North Sea in Belgium.
We somehow ended up driving Swifty right through the centre of Bruge.
This was one of the scary streets we negotiated.  Thankfully there
was a bus head of us that we could follow.
Another of Bruge's streets we drove down - and yes they are 2 way streets!
The first car park we slept in in Bruge - dedicated to overnight Motorhome stays.
Crazy Sheers family shadows under a bridge in Bruge,Belgium.

Some of the handmade chocolates available from Bruge's many chocolate shops.

Marzipan.

The cycles parked in Bruge's Markt Square.

A typical Bruge side street.

The girls buying their first fix of Belgian Chocolate.

Strolling through to the Monastery in the heart of Bruge.

A Fairytale Reflection.

Yum!

Twilight along one of Bruge's Canals.

Twilight in the Markt Square.
Bruge's Cathedral lit at night.
The bells chime every 15mins and can be heard echoing across the town.

Catching the bus to Gent, Belgium.

Hmmmmmm . . . this sign had us talking and wondering -
who would just cop a squat in the centre of town?
Obviously people do or all the signs we say like these wouldn't be needed.

The Counts castle in the middle of Gent.
The lampost pictured in the front of this photo is special - see photo below.

Looking down Saint Michael's Bridge, Gent.

Typical Belgium 'Stepped' Architecture.

In Brussels you just pull up into a carpark and plug your Electric
Car in to charge while you are shopping.  Very Cool!

We were all quite taken with the graffiti defacing these statues.

A BIG Brussels Street Scape.

Tilly checks out the shopping in the Galleria, Brussels.

An Asian inspired side street in Brussels.

'When Was The Last Time You Did Something For The First Time?'
When we saw this poster we all said 'Everyday on this trip'!
When was the last time you did something for the first time?

Just one of the Beautiful Spires dotting the Brussels Skyline.

A Belgian Artist at work in Grand Place, Brussels.

Tin Tin climbs the side of a Brussels building.

The girls infront of Mannequin Pis.

The crowds infront of Mannequin Pis.

We spotted this fabulous graffiti down an alley in Brussels.

The Mannequin Pis Statue has inspired souveniours from coloured statues to chocolates.
Just one of the bizarre but strangely compelling shop windows in Bruge.
The amazing lake next to our camp in Gent, Belgium.
The first of many slides that day and the next!
We need one of these in Lake Taupo!

Glenn downs a Belgian brew legally in the middle of a Brussel's street.
